There's really nothing to say about Bob Evans that makes it remarkable in any way at all. The food is decent, but not anything memorable. The service here was alright, but nothing worth a huge tip. Bob Evans is just another utterly mediocre but passable option when considering where to stop for a bite to eat. I suppose if you were over the age of 80 and wanted to be able to sit for an hour and drink black coffee after finishing your heart-smart breakfast so you could talk about how America was so much better when Eisenhower was president this would be your place.

I have never walked out of a restaurant until last night. At 6:30 on a Saturday night, it was not busy. After standing at the hostess desk for several minutes someone finally noticed there was a customer, and someone yelled, "I'll be right there." A couple minutes later, they were. Standing there alone, the question was, "will there be two?" I actually looked next to me to see if an imaginary diner joined me. "Do you want a table or a booth?" she followed the question with, "It doesn't matter, all of the booths are full." I was seated at a table. After sitting again, for what seemed a long time considering the place wasn't busy, a waitress said, "I will be with you shortly." Fine, I can wait. One her third pass, she said it again. All this and I still don't have so much as a glass of water. Finally, I placed my order...chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and onion petals. The waitress responded, "I don't think anyone has ever ordered onion petals before." Still no water. Waitress returns, "the kitchen just informed me that we are out of onion petals." With still not so much as a glass of water, I left.

If we have to give stars it's barely a one. My husband's eggs were dry, the bacon had no flavor and the potatoes were raw and greasy. My meal was just as bad. Even with a good coupon we will not be back. Our waitress was fair but likes to call everyone sweetie. People were waiting a long time at the register to pay. Don't bother with this place. Eh tried to order the Apple pie which is advertised all over the place and they don't have any. Don't. Go.

They need to remove the sign that says strangers are friends and friends are family. Very poor service and our food was good. Waited over 45 mins for food. Very unsatisfied.

Bob Evans isn't too bad but it's not great either. The service was spotty. The meatloaf is what I had and it wasn't bad. We had to ask about our appetizer because it had been a while and it came out right before our meal. The banana bread was very dry and bland so I asked for rolls instead. They were out of all the peach desserts.

We just had the worst experience ever at this restaurant. We got there after the crowd, about 9:42 to be exact. There was a 20 minute wait. There is a little bar and we asked if we could sit there, mind you one person was sitting. Well, there were not 3 seats together and they didn't want to ask the man to move down one seat. So, we waited. Once we were seated it took over 40 minutes to get our food. When the food came out the order was wrong. At this point we just ate. The waitress had a horrible attitude. Everything we asked her seemed like we were putting her out. When we paid, the general manager asked if we had enough to eat. Not, how was your food or a service. We will not be going back here ever!

I'm giving one star for the three employees that were working their asses off with no busser, no host to greet guests, no cashier, and a full dining room. The manager (one of the three working the front of the restaurant) was doing his best to help the two servers present. Usually we enjoy Bob Evans & go there because of the BOGO coupons, but this time it wasn't enough to get us to stay. My heart goes out to those employees. I don't know the story of why they're so shorthanded tonight, so we will try again another night, hoping it isnt corporate or management intention to work their people like this, or give their customers such a poor reception.
